Athletics and Wellness Initiative

Athletics and Wellness Initiative

The initial phase of the Athletic and Wellness Initiative project was completed in December 2017 with the opening of the Athletics Fieldhouse and Arena. This new, multipurpose space contains a renovated ice rink with a removable turf surface, as well as basketball/volleyball/tennis courts, a strength and conditioning center, a sports trainer facility, locker rooms, storage spaces, and offices. Serving as the cornerstone of the School’s future campus vision, the project has created more division distinctiveness and freed up campus scheduling, while positively impacting academics, the arts, and other programming possibilities for all students.

To capitalize on this positive momentum and further address student needs related to athletics and wellness, the School looks to raise an additional $5 million through a Phase II effort which includes:

  • Renovating softball and baseball fields for proper size and drainage
  • Renovating central field and installing state-of-the-art and environmentally-friendly turf surface for football, soccer, and lacrosse
  • Building natural, outdoor amphitheater for performing arts programming (drama and public speaking), collaborative and individual study, and spectator seating
  • Transforming Dalrymple Gymnasium into a practice and performing arts studio to support the growing dance program, as well as yoga and other wellness activities

  • PROJECTED COST: $5M
  • RAISED TO DATE: $1.250M
